For more than 100 years AD, Hadrianus had the
Pantheon in Rome rebuilt, originally built by
General Agrippa. Even at that time they knew that concrete had two qualities that were important when it came to construction.
By using the concrete’s sustainable strength, Hadrianus managed to carry Pantheon’s vault with a diameter of 43 meters. The other ability is durability, which is why we still can see a large number of the past’s construction art.
Our products and services are adapted to today’s way of construction. And by constant development we adapt these to the demands of the future.
Today, we use rebar to reinforce the Pantheon in Rome
resistance to tension. Additives are used
to improve the concrete’s process ability
and advanced programs to estimate the
construction’s abilities etc.
But with the two original qualities in modern
concrete buildings, sustainable strength and
constancy will always be just as important as
it was 2000 years ago.
